DraftKings on Wednesday released a new way for its Oregon consumers to play, enabling wagers on the results of historic baseball games with DK Replay.

- The experience is effectively micro-betting, just with confidential recognized results.

- Customers will only know the skill level of pitchers and batters, not their identities.

- DraftKings is moving towards integrating nearly all of its item offerings into one "very app."

DraftKings' new innovation brings the consistent action of micro-betting out of the live context and applies it to historical matchups throughout the league.

DK Replay is offered only for Oregon sports betting clients. Users can access the feature by downloading the current version of the DraftKings mobile betting app, which is the only authorized online betting platform in the state.

"DK Replay uses a brand-new experience for our clients, allowing them to tap into the enjoyment of pitch-by-pitch betting in a special historic environment," DraftKings chief item officer Corey Gottlieb said in a declaration. "With DK Replay, we're able to provide an experience that will allow clients to enjoy their favorite sports no matter the time of year."

DK Replay Users will exist with a completely random and confidential pitcher-versus-batter matchup. Players will be rated bronze, silver, or gold based upon their statistics from the game the plate look was drawn. That includes batting average, punching percentage, ERA, and strikeouts.

Users are given a designated quantity of time to pick if they think the next pitch will be a ball/HBP (struck by pitch), strike/foul, or put in play. Each outcome will have matching odds, causing various possible payments based upon the pitch count and the ratings of the batter and pitcher.

The result of a pitch will be revealed once the user's bet is put or the pitch clock expires. The complete details of the plate look will be exposed once it is finished, or a user does not position anymore wagers.

New methods to experience video gaming

DraftKings verified it is looking to include the new Replay feature to more states, pending regulative approval.

While wagering on old baseball video games is new to the sports betting industry, it draws on the of historical horse race wagering. "Instant racing" is a type of wagering that includes electronic gaming devices comparable to slot devices that anonymize previous races and allow clients to anticipate which horse will win.

Hard Rock Bet drew on the model last year, introducing "Real Money Games powered by Past Motor Racing" in Florida in October. The function allows clients to play games similar to slots that were linked to previous NASCAR races.
